Hi, ako si Maryliz Ann
I am a Filpino-Jamaican American Graphic & Production Designer based in Denver, CO.
Maryliz Ann Design is founded in Jan 2017 working for just family & friends. After graduating from RMCAD (Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design) in Spring 2018, I started to learn to build my own network starting from internship to volunteering in multiple companies and then later in 2019 started working for start - up and small business.
At first, wanted to focus on my career in traditional Graphic Design. However, with each opportunity, I experience new skillset which made me curious in learning variety of industries. I was hoping the experiences would help guide me towards my final decision as a Graphic Designer on what to focus on. In the end, I realize my true passion is communicating with my clients and assisting them through the designing experience to be close to there next steps of their goals.
Art is a way for me to communicate to not only to my loved ones but also through society. Since Graphic Design brought me places and opportunities that I never thought was possible, why not share that joy and sparks of navigation to businesses? Graphic design helps mold and structure the world in many ways in different forms.
On my free time, I usually explore CO with my fur-bestie name Zerrin Solaris.
He is 4 yrs old big chi-wa-wa mix. I adopted him in April of 2021 at Colorado Puppy Rescue. His name means Golden Sun in a mix of Irish and African. After all, he brightens my day with his sassy but goofy personality. Catch him in a meeting or a call because you will hear his presences with his squeaky toys (yes, he does it on purpose). He does have work office experience @ The Print Stash when he was just 11 months old as a work doggo that chills, naps and greet visitors.

I dedicate my career to my Papa Agustin Tabaranza.
He is a well accomplished filipino Architect that drafted homes not only to his community and loved ones in the Philippines but also overseas. Even after he retired, he was always in his office creating homes to anyone he encounter and to his grandchildren for free.
He raised me, so once I told him I wanted to be a Graphic designer, he was very excited and was the first person who supported my career choice. He even convince my mother because well my family is huge and are mainly Doctors, Nurses, Lawyers, Accountants, Architects, Teachers, & Hospitality managers. My mother's mentality is securing a 'practical job'. Once she saw the salary rate for my career base she was completely against it worrying about my future. However, my grandpa convinced her I don't know how he was always filled with wisdom and well he did raise 7 kids. I will never forget him giving me his typography book he made himself because I shared how much I really love posters and type. He is my hero & inspiration forever and always.
